What Is a Re-entry Tournament Tournament?
Re-entry creates a new tournament entry after the prior one has been eliminated. It is different from adding chips while keeping the same entry.
Understand the format ↓How does Re-entry Tournament work?
Re-entry is usually limited by registration time and a posted maximum number of bullets. The new entry receives a new starting stack and may be seated at another table.
Prizes and payouts
Each entry adds cost. Track the total spent across bullets when calculating an event result; a payout must be compared with all associated entry costs.
This is a tournament structure, not a poker game. The event can use Hold'em, Omaha, or another published game. Always read that event's rules and prize schedule.
A practical example.
You pay $11, bust, then pay another $11 to re-enter. Your event investment is $22 before any further fees or add-ons.
What should you verify?
Check maximum bullets, re-entry cutoff, stack size, and whether the posted buy-in includes the fee.
Operator and venue rules control the exact entry, blind, bounty, payout, and cancellation terms. Poker TDA's tournament procedures cover a different layer of tournament play.
