What Is a Mystery Bounty Tournament?
A mystery bounty event awards unknown-value bounties for qualifying knockouts, usually after a designated stage begins.
Understand the format ↓How does Mystery Bounty work?
The operator defines when bounties activate and how prizes are drawn or assigned. Early knockouts may not award mystery prizes.
Prizes and payouts
Mystery prizes vary in size and are separate from ordinary finishing-position payouts. Published distributions and claim rules govern awards.
This is a tournament structure, not a poker game. The event can use Hold'em, Omaha, or another published game. Always read that event's rules and prize schedule.
A practical example.
An event activates mystery bounties after the money bubble. A later knockout reveals a prize from the published bounty pool; the amount is not known in advance.
What should you verify?
Read the activation stage, prize distribution, multiway elimination rules, and whether a bounty is cash or a non-cash award.
Operator and venue rules control the exact entry, blind, bounty, payout, and cancellation terms. Poker TDA's tournament procedures cover a different layer of tournament play.
